Span-20 is a Non-ionic, lipophillic (Oil loving) surfactant. Used for preparing water in oil emulsions, Water dispersible emulsifier which exhibits antifoam properties, used to retard starch crystallization in jellies, lubricant antistat, process aid in PVC resin manufacture. Used as an Emulsifiers & dispersants for pigments and for the preparations of Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals.
Span-20 is the base raw material to produce the High HLB product POLYSORBATE – 20 (Polyoxyethylene (20) Sorbitan Mono Laurate), used widely as surfactant for Shampoos. The Polysorbate – 20 works as co-emulsifier with the product Span-20.

ESTOSPAN 85 is a lipophillic (Oil loving ) surfactant. Used for preparing water in oil emulsions. Lipophlic emulsifier for W/O emulsion, also for O/W emulsion combination with hydrophilic emulsifiers like polysorbates. Widely used in nasal and metered dose inhalation dosage forms. Finds particular application as a dispersing agent in aerosols.
